This peninsula, just two hours away from Rio de Janeiro ( about 180 km ), is plenty of wonderful beaches made of transparent waters, daily sun and exuberant nature. Besides this, offers surf, sail, fishing, international gastronomy, famous stores and active night life. People use to say that Búzios has a democratic clock: each person does her own.
The city’s secret is this strange magnetism which attracts people from every part of the world to its 28 beaches.
Búzios is known all around the world as a balneary which inspires fashion style and where everything and everybody happens, in areal global village. Nowadays, there are about 15.000 of inhabitants in the city. And all of them between 50 different nacionalities.
To know the beaches or explore local tracks, there are lots of options: maritime taxi, trawler, boat, on foot, by bike, moto, on horse, by car, buggy and etc. Beaches from the west side use to be calm and have warm waters, while the east side ones, because they are located in open sea, they generaly have cold waters.
The city togheter with it’s citizens, they are trying to keep the original architecture of the buildings in order to not damage the beauty of the balneary,which offers summer time during all year with temperatures between 26ºC to 31ºC.
The city has very charming Pousadas splited all over, so you can so you can delight the beauty as you wish.
Búzios was rediscovered by Brigitte Bardot in the 60’s, and, from then on had become international turistic destiny. Now, one of the ten most visited in Brazil.Those who are experts in nautic esports, say that Buzios has the best racecourse of the country. And, also one of the betters of the world. Every year, there are at least 15 championships taking place there, between regional and international ones. Meanwhile, there are other options for entertainment, like the Golf field, promenades by schooner and the Cinema Feast.
